Brantwood Farms is very excited to be offering farm tours for the 2019 fall season. With over 25 years of experience in agriculture education, these tours have been crafted by our team to give students a taste of the magic that happens on the farm during our favourite time of the year.

Description

Elementary school students will arrive at Brantwood farms for a fun filled morning of food, farming, and time with their friends. This field trip is designed to increase the food and agriculture literacy of students, while providing them with an opportunity to get active and enjoy the outdoors. 

Field Trip One Specific Objectives

1. Improve food literacy skills in Canadian food production through an interactive group discussion with the farmer in the apple orchard, pumpkin patch and corn field. 

2. Build feelings of self-efficacy through the processes of observational and social learning by encouraging all the students to pick their own apples and pumpkin.
